Hong Kong Harbour Night Cruise

I almost forgot about this part of our trip. So before I go ahead and share our wonderful Hong Kong Disneyland experience, let's first take a cruise and see what Hong Kong is like at night.  For those who want a bit of a background about this trip, do read my previous posts:  Hong Kong Arrival, Hong Kong City Tour, Lantau Island, Big Budha and Po Lin Monastery.

Hong Kong is so much more vibrant and alive at night! It's like a precious land of diamonds sparkling in the moonlight. Whether you're single or all alone traversing its colorful and boisterous streets, you will never feel lonely. It's so easy to explore  its surrounding municipalities and you will never get bored looking at all those wonderful sights. Just hail a cab, tell the driver your destination and in just a short moment, you're there. Traffic is not so bad and pollution is unnoticeable.  For Pinoys who crave the Makati scene, Lan Kwai Fong is the place to be! It's lined up with numerous bars and restaurants filled with friendly people, both tourists and residents, of various nationalities. It's just so great!

It was a cold, cold night. Peter and I  booked a night-time cruise aboard the Star Ferry, plying between Hong Kong and Kowloon to enjoy its spectacular views from the river. We cruised around Victoria Harbour, passing by the  neon-lit red-light district of Wan Chai,  Causeway Bay typhoon shelter, Western District and Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade. On top of all that, the boat provided unlimited complimentary drinks! It would have been more awesome if our friends were with us. I don't really drink much when it's just the two of us. I'd rather stay sober just in case I get "lucky". Mwehehehe.
