Ballet Philippines, Racks, Coffee Dream and Despicable Me: a Whole Day Date with the Hubby

It is quite rare that Peter and I would spend a whole day just having fun these days. Normally, when it's not summer season, we just usually stay home and lounge, do chores, rest or party at night in the city. So I was glad when one Sunday, Peter and I just spent the whole day together on a real date. It helps add a little bit more spark in our marriage, don't you think?

We watched Ballet Philippines' 41st Concert Season September Gala at CCP Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo with my Grade 6 classmates. The show was so mesmerizing! We should watch these kinds of shows more often!

Before heading to Ortigas to check out Travel Mart, we first watched the sunset at Manila Bay...

Dungaree Beach in Subic

Last March 6, 2010, Saturday, Ninette, Peter and I headed to Subic. We wanted to find a nice beach where we can just relax and enjoy the summer heat. We've already tried All Hands beach last February, so we went to the one near it, which is Dungaree Beach. Both beaches by the way are located just after the airport. When you reach the end of the road near the airport, instead of going to Zoobic on your left, you turn right. After a few minutes, you will see the beaches on your left.

Cystal Beach Zambales Part II

Gosh, it’s Saturday morning after shift at work and I’m not yet sleepy… I’m  missing the beach a lot even though we’ve just been there last weekend.  Too bad, we’re attending the blogging event later at UP and the after party at Katips. Actually, I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to go to the Summit coz I bet I’ll be super sleepy by then and I’m surmising that it might be boring. And if ever I will have the energy to travel this afternoon, I might just go shopping and attend Irene’s baby shower. But all of these things will depend on my state of health and if Peter can drive me all the way to Marikina since I think he is obliged to attend the Blog Summit. Oh well. Whatever! I miss the beach… Huhuhu… So to appease myself, I’ll just post the remaining things that happened last weekend when we went to Zambales…

Verde Island, Batangas

Our real estate broker, Rolly, offered us a free overnight stay for 6 people at Isla Verde in Batangas in the hopes that we’d also be interested in buying a property there.We got interested coz we are also scouting for nice beach lots that we can eventually purchase. So we gave this one a look. Hmm… not bad.

 

After more three hours on the road, we eventually reached this private pier in Batangas for Isla Verde boats. We waited for almost an hour  for our ride. Finally, we boarded and headed to the green island. It took us another 45 minutes by sea. Half the time, I was watching Grey’s Anatomy on my portable DVD player until I decided to turn it off amidst the growing srprinkle of the sea then I dozed off with the gentle sea breeze hitting my face.
