VA interview by Imbestigador, Etc.

TV CREW IN THE HOUSE
Our long weekend started last Friday when GMA7’s IMBESTIGADOR  crew visited us at home to interview Peter regarding his work. Two weeks ago, our friend, Angel Directo, who is the overall head (Associate Producer) of the show called me to ask if they can interview me regarding my job. They’re pitching an  episode regarding the pros and cons of the US crisis and my being a virtual assistant seemed to fit the pro side of the issue. However, a week after she called me, I suddenly resigned from my job. So when they called me again just last week, I have already forgotten about it. Since Peter is in the same line of work (working from home), I referred him to them and the rest is history. The show is tentatively set to air on December 6 at 10:00 p.m.

Anyway, it was such a delight havingAngel over. It’s been 2 years I think since we last saw each other at 70’s Bistro in Anonas, QC.  I first met her together withKoryn and Pat around 3 years ago when I was still crushing over Dino of Brownman Revival in one of their gigs at Xaymaca. And since then, we’ve called ourselves BMR girls. Angel and the girls even got me and Peter special seats in one of the SOP shows when BMR guested. It was so long ago, during one of our groupie days but it all seemed like yesterday when she came over and visited us last Friday evening. She’s such a darling and she’s still the same gorgeous, kikay & witty girl we met years ago.

Unknowingly, she actually helped me get back on my feet again just when I was about to head straight right down to the bottom of my depression. Yes, I was fighting it this whole time, hence our trip to Siquijor, hence my resignation, hence my spells and incantations. If you read this Angel, I’d like to thank you.  THANK YOU, my friend. Just when I was going back to memory lane by unearthing and reading my timeline  from  the time I was born until I was 20 years old (a project I did for Developmental  Psychology back in college), you were also reading my blog posts for the last two years like you told me. Just when I was thinking what my life is all about and analyzing what my purpose really is, you cared enough to read me, cry with me and laugh with me through my numerous blog posts. And your bubbly personality just got me so affected that it made me look at life in a more positive light again. You are just a wonderful burst of energy, my dear friend. And  for that,  I thank you. You’ve inspired me by sharing your thoughts and feelings… You’ve made me aware that there is still more to life than what I already have… You’ve encouraged me to be who I am and be more… I don’t know how you did it. But you just made me feel happy again. You didn’t have to go with your crew that night. But you did! True to your name, you’re really an angel.*hugs*

OLD FRIENDS MEET AGAIN
Come Saturday, I met with my old MDP (Management Development Program)  friends from GSIS. We had dinner at Hossein’s over at The Fort Strip and we just had a fabulous time!

It was our first time dining at Hossein’s. We ordered Lamb Bhouna, Mixed Vegetable  Curry and Biryani Rice. They were all so yummy!!!

Jason (our Class Salutatorian but is actually the one with the highest GPA) is the same old nice guy  who is just a little bit more workaholic this time, as required by his job being the new Manager of QC branch; Alex, my kikay gf, now has two kids and is happily working in the Operations Sector which she has always wanted; Michelle and Onin are still the same  hardworking, funny and cool persons I know, only this time, I’m not so sure if they’re still virgins (kidding!!!!); Rejie, my gorgeous gay  friend, followed my path to freedom from GSIS and is now a lot happier & younger-looking more than ever; and Bo, my beautiful gf is now a Division Chief and the reigning Miss GSIS at that. I’m so proud of her!

It was a wonderful get-together and I do hope we can all do it again. Maybe next time, more of our MDP classmates will attend. After dinner, we still had coffee at Cafe Puccini. It almost seemed like a night of neverending stories and laughter. We even planned to check out the scene at Embassy Cuisine. But they all had to go home  by midnight. So it was just me, Peter and my two best gfs who continued partying until  Sunday dawn. Maybe next time, we can all go clubbing together. *crossing my fingers *

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN
I was already quite tipsy by the time we got inside Cuisine with Ninette.  I forgot to tell you that I brought with me a bottle of vodka and a bottle of wine inside the car just so I’d already have alcohol in my system by the time we go clubbing. It made me spend less too. Teehee.

Ces arrived after a while and there we went dancing and people watching. Ninette’s crush was working the DJ booth and the music was just getting better and better we couldn’t help but dance to the beat with the occasional glancing at cuties and hunks all around us, of course.

I ordered Kamikaze just to keep the buzz going and the nicotine in my lungs kept me in the mood. It was a great night to unwind.  At around 2 a.m., when my Bora Twin Jana finally arrived, we all decided to go home. But we all had our photo ops first with our favorite dinosaurs.

AFTER SUNRISE
Ces and Jana decided to sleepover at our place and do some major bonding. The original plan for this particular weekend was to just have Jana over at our place so we can continue with our plans of pitching a travel show. We thought about this when we became friends last January during the Boracay Funboard Cup  but it somehow never materialized due to both our busy schedules. And now that we have all the time in the world to plan for it, that’s what we did. We were multitasking actually. Ces accepted Jana’s invitation to be her wedding coordinator. So as we were conceptualizing for the show at the dining table, they were also gathering details  for the wedding at the living room. The house seemed like a virtual office with our three laptops clicking away that Sunday afternoon. It was a mess. A very pretty mess. Amidst the busyness, we all realized we haven’t eaten anything yet. So we all went to Greenbelt and pigged out at Big Buddha.  Jana had to attend mass so she wasn’t able to join us.

Big Buddha had a promo for their crispy noodles. For only Php99.00, we got a huge plate of it! We also ordered sauteed vegetables, lemon chicken and yangchao fried rice. We ate like there was no tomorrow! And in just a few minutes, we were able to empty our plates!

To burn the calories off, we went to Metrowalk and hoarded DVDs. I bought a total of 15 DVD movies and 6 TV series. When Peter and I got home, the first thing we did was finish the entire season of FALLEN before I again watched Sex and the City movie. I looove that chick flick!
***Warning: contains spoilers***
FALLEN is a mini TV series which is about this nephilim (half angel/half human) named Aaron Corbett. On his 18th birthday, his angel nature has started to show and a series of events led him to his destiny of being the redeemer — a nephilim who has the power to bring  fallen angels back to heaven by redeeming them of their sins. The ultimate Fallen angel that he was supposed to redeem was Lucifer Mornigstar, the devil himself, who happened to be his father. His human and angel nature was challenged at this point. Will he bring back Lucifer to heaven and give him a chance to rebel against God again so he may rule the entire universe? Or will his humanity take charge and sacrifice his life for the sake of mankind’s safety against Lucifer? It was really all very exciting. Do watch it!
Need I say more? Sex & the City is my ultimate chick-flick Bible.

That’s all for now. I hope you a had a great weekend too!
