I'm still waiting for the original copy of the segment Bandila did on me and other VAs last Monday night. But then one of my bosses was able to find a copy on youtube and I'd like to share it with you here, especially for those who missed it and who are thinking of pursuing some freelance work online.
Bandila didn't anymore include the part where you can look for these kinds of freelance work so I'll just post it here.
- Register and post your resume at http://va4u.com and wait for interested clients to get in touch with you.
- To browse available freelance jobs online, go to http://getafreelancer.com and http://craigslist.org.
These are the usual sites I visit whenever I need to look for online work.

Hi Jen,
Napanood ko ito. I am watching bandila kasi before i go to work at 3am. Sana ipinakita din ito sa morning news.
Hi Ms. Jen,
You are truly an inspiration to someone planning to start her career online. How long did it take you to land a job as a virtual assistant? I'm planning to do this full time. I read from other posts about odesk so that's another option. Any tips? Thank you.
Charm
Hi Charm,
I'm glad I inspired you. It really is liberating to work online. You can stop anytime or take as many jobs as you want.
Have you read all my other older posts about how I landed in this field? Here's the link. It might give you the info you need to push forward with your plans:

As you can see (after you read my old posts), I became a VA by accident. It just landed on my lap and since then I never looked back.
Every time I'd quit a job, it wouldn't take long before I get another VA job again. In fact, even when I'm already busy with a few VA jobs, employers still email me asking about my services.
I guess the important thing is to just gather as much experience as you can so you'll have a wide range of skills and it won't be hard for you to get more jobs in the future. Be open to different kinds of rates, have the willingness to learn and enjoy. When you have these three things (flexibility, hunger for learning, joy), opportunities will just keep pouring in. :-)
