In my previous blog post, I told you my side of the story of how and why I was able to join PAL's Manila to Bali inaugural flight.
Despite everything, I'm still thankful that I was a part of that. More so when I look back on the photos I took and saw how beautiful Bali is especially the various hotels and resorts we visited belonging in the 3 to 5-star hotel category.
On this particular post, I'd like to focus on Nikko Bali Resort and Spa. It was the first hotel that housed us bloggers and travel agents for this 5-day familiarization tour sponsored by PAL / Philippine Airlines. Below is our room when we first checked in at 2 am on April 29.
"A familiarization tour is a free (or low cost) trip for travel agents or consultants provided by a travel operation or airline as a means of promoting their service." - taken from Koryn's post: When in Bali
Nikko Bali Resort and Spa is a 5-star resort located along the southeast coast of Bali's southern peninsula. As such, it creates a private and serene holiday sanctuary for people who would like to have some quality and intimate time with their loved ones. In my opinion, it's best for honeymooners. ^_^
It has a long stretch of white beach that is made available only to its guests through the resort's Shore Restaurant. Near the Shore are also the swimming pool and jacuzzi areas, perfect for both kids and adults. With this kind of setup, guests are able to admire the ocean while also relaxing in the privacy of the swimming pool or the beach without disruptions.
When I was there, I'd wake up at 5:30 am so I can catch the sun rising in the distance and be by the beach at around 6 am.
Koryn and I would take some pictures, enjoy the waves, the sand and lounge in one of its beach chairs. What a perfect life! For a few hours at least. ^_^
At around 6:30 am we'd transfer to one of the swimming pools and take a dip. The water is not too cold, just enough to make us feel refreshed and rejuvenated after the tiring flight on our first day, and a hectic schedule the next.
At the Shore, it's also nice to hang out at their bar especially at night. They offer both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages ranging from about Php180-300 (converted from Rupiah). It's one of the few places in Nikko Bali with free wi-fi so I hung out there til the wee hours of the morning to do some work and be in touch with my social network. ^_^
The magnificent scenery of the beach and the pool areas can also be enjoyed on the private terraces of ocean-facing rooms in the Cliff Tower of Nikko Bali Resort and Spa. We had one of those luxurious rooms when we checked in at 2 am. In the morning, this was the view that greeted our tired eyes:
Even from Nikko's magnificent glass-covered Wiwaha wedding venue, one can still have a beautiful view of the beach below:
At Nikko Bali Resort and Spa, guests are guaranteed a unique experience. I should know because I did have an extraordinary experience. By combining its excellent location with unparalleled ocean views and scenic landscape, guests will definitely have an experience that is originally Nikko.
To give you more information, I'd like to share here with you photos of the special brochure that Nikko Bali gave us. Only preferred guests are given a copy of this so I might as well share them here to give you a better idea of what Nikko Bali has to offer.

Here are some of the amenities you can expect to enjoy at Nikko Bali:
At Nikko Bali Resort and Spa, they believe that the best in life should be enjoyed at the present moment. Thus, they have provided for guests a variety of premium facilities and amenities coupled with exclusive and specially designed signature products. To complete the service, they have well-rounded service staff members who are friendly without being intrusive, are approachable and available at all times to attend to guests' needs. I saw this firsthand when Koryn and I were swimming in the pool and all of a sudden the young hunky men who were cleaning the adjacent swimming pool came storming out into the sea. Apparently, a guest has been having trouble surfing and was being carried farther and farther unto the sea due to the strong underwater current. That's how helpful they are. So I'm sure that whatever the guests need, be it attending to or extreme privacy, they are always ready to give it to their guests.
