Boracay Reef Walking is one of those exciting things Peter and I did in Boracay. It took half a day before Peter convinced me to do it. As some of you may know, as much as I love being in the water, I'd rather be on the surface (like when I'm snorkeling), rather than going under (like when diving).
Since reef walking or what is also popularly known as helmet diving involves going 15 feet underwater, I had my apprehensions about it. Why? Well, aside from what I've mentioned, I would have to carry 15 kilos of helmet (which will translate to only 1 kilo once underwater... still heavy in my opinion), and I would have to be careful enough to always make sure that I am upright. Otherwise, my helmet, which is kept water-free by a tube pouring oxygen in it, will be filled with water and it's gonna be bye-bye life for me! How scary is that?!

Anyway, with my heart wildly pumping, I gave in to my husband's request. I didn't know that we would have to ride a speedboat going to the helmet diving / reef walking site, which is another thing I don't like doing. Argh. Oh well, I might as well enjoy the ride which I eventually did, screaming and all.
At the docking station...
Reef Walking / Helmet Diving cost us Php600 each. We were given 15-20 minutes to enjoy our time underwater, feeding different sorts of fishes, posing for photo ops and what-not. The following day, we also got a CD copy of 14 of our best photos underwater and a short video clip of this exciting adventure.

Koryn! Yeah... I got scared coz I kept leaning back. I was afraid that the water would get inside my helmet since we were instructed to always keep upright, thus the awkward albeit cute pose. Hehehe. :-)

I can't remember anymore the name of the company. We just spoke with one of those guys selling the services along the beaches of Boracay and went with them coz they seemed the most patient with us.:)
