My Smart Netphone 701

My 2-year contract with Smart Gold is about to expire and I've been thinking of downgrading my plan since I no longer use my phone for text messaging and calls as much as I used to before (like those years I got plan Php3,000-5,000). But then if I do that, it means that the free phone I'll get won't be as nice as my previous phones. So to solve this dilemma, I  stuck to my plan of downgrading my subscription but I also got a new phone separate from my plan and I chose Netphone 701 by Smart!!! Weee!!!

My new Smart Netphone 701 is still in the box. I haven't had the time to open and tinker with it yet but I am excited!

I'm no techie, okay. The most high tech phone I've had before was an O2 XDA and then I had my Nokia E63 which is still in good working condition, which I also got from Smart for free together with my plan Php1,200.

Anyway, with my new Netphone 701, I hope to be able to sync seamlessly with my social network streams. I'm reading the box right now and it says it also has the following features:

1. It will make it easy to chat on  YM, Facebook, etc.
2. It uses Google Android 2.2 Froyo, a powerful Smartphone operating system.
3. It has a Netphone Messenger that I can use to instantly message my netphone friends.
4. It has auto software upgrade that keeps my phone up-to-date with the latest software.

I'm so excited!!!!

I'm waiting for Peter to see my new Netphone 701 so he can teach me how to play with it since he already has an Android phone. For now, I shall head to www.netphone.com.ph for more info.
