Singapore Clarke Quay : Stopover Before Ho Chi Minh

After we visited the Esplanade and the Merlion, we headed to Clarke Quay for some night cap. As usual, the place was so busy and vibrant even when it was already nearing 2 am.

Before checking out the cafes that are still open, we went to the loo just to check if I still look okay. Most of the people in Clarke Quay are usually in club wear (heels and little sexy dresses) and I was afraid I may not fit in. Vain! Oh well.


We also got to see the extreme rides in action. Maybe one day we'll have the nerve to actually ride the Singapore GMAX XXTreme Bungee.

Singapore City Lights

After our short trip to Suntec City and the Fountain of Wealth, we still had a few more hours left before our flight to Ho Chi Minh. We decided to take a walking tour by ourselves, passing through a mall so we can head to the Esplanade and the Merlion.


Another good thing that I noticed about Singapore is that there are signs everywhere. I bet tourists here don't easily get lost. Plus, the views are all nice, whether we were inside the malls or outside. It's definitely a city meant for walking so people can thoroughly enjoy the lights and the sights all around.

Singapore: Suntec City and The Fountain of Wealth

As soon as we arrived at the Changi airport, we checked in our luggage at a temporary storage area for only a few Singapore dollars. After all, we had another flight to catch going to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam later that dawn and it would be such a waste of funds and time if we still look for a place to crash for the day. So, we opted to go on a free tour of the city itself. We took the sanstour bus ride to the city c/o Uniquely Singapore. Passing by the highway roads of Singapore felt very familiar and homey. I didn't anymore get awed by the cleanliness and beauty of the surroundings, which was a good thing, coz it means I was comfortable, considering that we were backpacking our way for the entire duration of this Asian trip.

The bus ride to the city was about 25 minutes from Changi airport, so we just sat back and relaxed and let our tour guide do all the talking.

We passed by the Singapore Flyer which looked so colorful and huge even from afar.
