My Umagang Kay Ganda Interview: Marriage w/o Kids

I was able to watch my interview for the segment "Sabi ni Mister, Sabi ni Misis" in Umagang Kay Ganda this morning on ABS-CBN. The topic is about whether having kids is a prerequisite to having a happy marriage or not. Being a part of a small percentage of people who agree that kids are not that important in having a happily married life, I tackled a few important things during the short interview itself but unfortunately were edited out in the final airing. From what I recall, I remember also saying these two things:

- Since the start of our courtship period, I've already expressed my desire to not have kids to my then suitor, Peter. I didn't want there to be any regrets for him should he indeed choose me to be his wife.
- That should the opportunity come for me and my husband, Peter, to get pregnant now, we are more open to the idea since we're more financially secure and we are more confident that we can provide a good future for our child.

Anyway, here's the part of the segment I recorded. I hope I made sense. Thanks for watching! :)

ABS-CBN's Umagang Kay Ganda Visited Me

this afternoon with the Umagang Kay Ganda crew

I just came back from my El Nido honeymoon with baboo Peter. For the first time ever in our almost 11 years of marriage, we sort of tried conceiving a baby. I say "tried" coz we sort of did stuff we haven't done before, if you know what I mean... hehehe. If a baby comes out of it, then it's probably meant. If not, it's no big deal. We've always prided ourselves for marrying each other because we simply love one another and want to spend the rest of our life together and not because we got pregnant or because we want to have kids. Not that we don't respect that kind of choice for other couples, we do. We're just different I guess. We're sort of weird and unconventional that way but we're happy... mostly happy. :)

Bringing Nivea to My Rated K Interview @ Club Manila East

When I was doing my 6-week stay in Boracay, ABS-CBN's Rated K writer, Marc Almajose, called me and asked if he can feature me on an episode they're doing about cool jobs and happy work life come May. It would of course be an honor to be featured on Mrs. Korina Sanchez-Roxas' Sunday evening show. So I said yes.
Fast forward to 1st week of May. I honestly have already forgotten about the invitation until Rated K's researcher Joseph Palileo emailed me about it. I was  of course delighted! Then finally, this morning, the Rated K crew picked me up at home at around 9 am and off we went to Club Manila East for the said interview. Happiness! ^_^

F.A.S.H. of Lifestyle Network and My (Not-So-Good) Experience with Them

Noelle before the makeover

On Saturday, Noelle texted me about this makeover thing F.A.S.H. (Fashion and Style Hub) was doing on her. F.A.S.H. is a local fashion and style TV show airing on the Lifestyle Network. Apparently, after we went our separate ways on Friday night, she got chosen by the segment producer of the show among the crowd of passersby and convinced her to do a makeover with them in exchange for some freebies from Nothing But H2O. Awesome deal! So of course she said yes.

Part of the segment would be to get some of her friends interviewed by F.A.S.H. about her beach style. So at 2pm, when I just woke up, I saw Noelle's text message asking for a big favor if I can go to D'Mall to have this interview at 2pm. I had other plans but I thought it would be nice to do this favor for her.

Virtual Assistants Featured on ABS-CBN's Bandila

I'm still waiting for the original copy of the segment Bandila did on me and other VAs last Monday night. But then one of my bosses was able to find a copy on youtube and I'd like to share it with you here, especially for those who missed it and who are thinking of pursuing some freelance work online.

Bandila didn't anymore include the part where you can look for these kinds of freelance work so I'll just post it here.
These are the usual sites I visit whenever I need to look for online work.

If you want to know more how it all happened for me, please visit this link below:

I hope this helps. ^_^

Bandila's 2nd Visit & My New Hair

that's me and Mau with ABS-CBN's Bandila Cameraman behind us

I had my Saturday scheduled perfectly. But then Mau, the segment producer of ABS-CBN's Bandila, texted me and asked if they could shoot more videos of me while working. At first, I declined coz I had a lot of work to do, Peter and I had tons of errands to run, the house was looking like a mess, and basically, I was just not in the mood. I was looking like a piece of trash, for crying out loud! I was doing some general cleaning around the house and Peter was doing a mountain of laundry. But since it will just take about 20 minutes, I finally obliged. I just made sure I can have a quick shower first before they even get here. Hehe, nagpakipot pa. ^_^

Below is one of the videos Peter took while Bandila was doing its thing...

ABS CBN's Bandila Came for a Visit

I dunno if some of you read my Wiccan blog. But I mentioned in my daily tarot post there yesterday, how things are great again in my side of the universe. I'm a simple girl and simple things make me happy despite the fact that I do get depressed sometimes (which I believe I have now overcome). Take for instance when Mau (ABS-CBN's Bandila's segment producer) texted me if she could interview me about my freelance VA (virtual assistant) job. That made me happy! Since more and more people are asking me about this thing that I do online, I decided that it's probably time to share what I know based on my own experiences.

this was quick shot Mau took of me with her two cameramen
