Buri Resort and Spa - Answer to My Prayer

This was the exact room I was provided with during my stay!

God works in mysterious ways and he does answer our prayers whether we see it or not. In my case, with my work being home-based, and myself being home alone most of the time (if I'm not traveling), I do get lonely. Usually, this feeling of loneliness is manageable but there comes a time, like a few days after my bessy Hanz went back to Cebu and I was missing him a lot, that I felt really sad. The pain in my heart was so palpable like I couldn't breathe. So I talked to God and told him that I can't live like this... I don't want to be by myself all the time; I need some semblance of social life (love life if possible!). But most, if not all of my friends, are busy with kids, families and careers. And the current object of my affection is miles away. Then I remember what I learned from Rhonda Byrne's The Secret before, that I don't have to know nor see how my wishes will be granted, but that I should just believe that it will happen in God's own time. And true enough, the universe opened its doors the moment it saw that I was ready.

2014 Philippine Holiday Schedule - Plan Your Vacations Now!

Happy New Year!

taken in Similan Island, Phi Phi, Phuket, Thailand

It's the year of the Earth Horse and I feel like this year is going to be luckier than ever for me. Life just gets better and better, doesn't it? Just when I told myself (a few months ago) that I'll probably stop travelling so I can focus on other aspects of my life, travel opportunities came left and right that I just couldn't resist. So here I am spending the first day of the new year fixing the schedules of my upcoming trips. I just came from Bangkok and Phuket last week, and just this weekend, I was in Sagada with Barefoot Travels. And next week I'll be in Baler with Barefoot Travels again then Boracay with Baboo and Padi, then Cebu for my Bessy's birthday. Anyway, I'll have a separate blog post for all these trips. For now, just as I am organizing my travel plans, I went on looking for this year's Philippine holiday schedule which I also want to share with you especially those like me who have been busy with life that it's only now they're taking the time to organize the vacations they want to take for 2014.

I got this from http://www.gov.ph/2013/10/01/list-of-nationwide-holidays-for-2014/. Enjoy planning your vacation, folks!

Boracay 2011 Soul Searching Adventure Day 1

First day in paradise was challenging. To summarize:

- I didn't sleep anymore after my shift which ended at 12noon
- NAIA parking was full
- Our Cebu Pacific flight to Caticlan at 3:40pm was rerouted to Kalibo at 5:50pm which finally took off at 7:00pm
- Boat ride from Caticlan to Cagban jetty port was more choppy than usual
- We arrived at our humble accommodation at Bonueva Guesthouse at around 11:00pm
- I had work at 12:00mn which means I'd be awake with no proper sleep for three days

If I'm a negative person, I'd probably take these musings as bad signs from the universe. But since I've learned and disciplined myself to see the glass half full in any situation, I can only be thankful for the following:

Thoughts on My Grand Boracay Getaway

Peter and I at Stavros before watching I am Number 4

Peter and I have been going out on movie dates practically every weekend this month. I guess we just want to make the most of our time together as I will soon be going on a personal Boracay island vacation and my hubby and I will be apart for sometime.

I used to think that I can't live without Peter. When we were still newly married (2002), even if we have already been friends for seven years at that time and exclusively dating for three years, I physically felt paralyzed and out of my mind every time we were apart. We used to do everything together.

I used to think that I can't live without Peter. When we were still newly married (2002), even if we have already been friends for seven years at that time and exclusively dating for three years, I physically felt paralyzed and out of my mind every time we were apart. We used to do everything together. Then come January 2008, I was given an opportunity to marshal the 20th Neil Pryde Boaracy Funboard Cup. It was the first time I've been away from Peter and it felt like the longest one week of my entire life! I was crying at the airport before I left but I knew I had to do it for the sake of reclaiming that sense of happiness, independence and individuality I once had on my own. Peter can't be with me all the time and I had to relearn how to take care of myself or be without him for a little while. I guess I'm lucky to have the most understanding, loving and supportive husband I could ever hope for. It was an emotionally difficult week. I was surrounded and being flirted at by tons of gorgeous and sexy men and all I could think of was going back home, back in my hubby's arms.

Dumaguete, Malapascua, Moalboal : Work on Vacation

After my grueling hours at work, I am finally on a break. Although my boss asked me to still do a few hours of work whenever I can. So once in a while, when I feel like it, I log in to work. After all, I love my virtual assistant job. I can practically work anywhere as long as there's good wifi connection.

Anyway, I haven't been blogging in a while. I like enjoying life first then blog about it later, which reminds me, I still haven't shared with you the rest of my Vietnam - Singapore - Kuala Lumpur trip last January; I still haven't told you about my amazing vacation at Bicol and the Caramoan Peninsula last April-May and just last week (Nov. 26-30), my hubby and I were at Dumaguete City, Apo Island in Valencia, Casaroro Falls and twin lakes in Sibulan, and now I'm in Malapascua til Dec. 5, after which we go to Moalboal and stay there til the 7th. This is the life!

I just thought of dropping by to say hi. So how are you?
