New Year, New Me! My Resolution for 2015 and Beyond!

Happy New Year, everyone! Even after the Three Kings and the celebration of the Black Nazarene have gone by, it still feels like the first day of the new year for me. Hehehe.

So, how did the first 12 days of the new year treat you so far? I hope this year of the sheep is turning out the way you wanted it to be, or if not, I hope you're all coping very well and getting yourself ready for all the blessings and challenges that lie ahead.

As for me, it really didn't happen the way I planned it to be. Well, come to think of it, my entire life, though a blessing with everything I have achieved and accomplished, didn't really happen as planned. But I won't bore you with all the details. (If you're an old reader / follower of mine, you'd know what I'm talking about). Let's just focus on the past two weeks. Teehee. ;)

My Hong Kong Disneyland 2013 Adventure

Like I said in my previous Hong Kong Disney Hollywood post, the last time I was here at Hong Kong Disneyland was in November 2007… almost 6 years ago. I’ve always wanted to go back and now that I finally did, this time with my mom, I couldn’t contain my excitement, especially since they have two (2) new attractions ---  ToyStory Land and Grizzly Gulch which I will discuss in detail here. But before that, I want to share with you my experience in chronological order. We’ll get to the exciting parts later.

So it was around 2:30 pm when we finished our scrumptious lunch at Crystal Lotus in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. We took the complimentary shuttle bus service from Disneyland Hotel to the Disneyland Theme Park and before 3:00 pm, my mom and I were already taking pictures at the entrance and at the Main Street USA (which we also did the next day).

Our Hong Kong Disney Hollywood Hotel Stay

It’s been six years since the first time I’ve been to Hong Kong to explore Disneyland and its hotels. I was with my husband, Peter, then. We had plans of going back but it never pushed through because of his very hectic work schedule. My mom, on the other hand, has been bugging me to go back and to take her with me since she’s never been to Hong Kong Disneyland. So this time around, with my cameras and a few pieces of clothing in tow, I brought her with me. And it’s been one of the best times of her life. Okay, mine too I must admit.

How to Afford Holiday Trips During Summer

According to the survey, most of the children are spending their summer holidays at home. This is a break to be enjoyed with family and friends. It’s a three month break for students and it’s important to be planned beforehand related to its expenses. There are various destinations and the sky is the limit. Hence instead of wasting this summer holidays, plan a trip and bottle up the sweet memories for a lifetime.

Tips to afford for trips in summer:

  • Credit cards:
Use your credit cards. Every individual is aware of different schemes and statistics provided to customers. A holiday can be afforded with proper usage of the cards. They are helpful while traveling and you can pay them back every month in easy installments such as EMI’s to reduce the burden.

  • Savings Cash-flow:
Flow of cash must be maintained and the best way is through savings or personal accounts. These are the areas where extra money or outstanding funds from monthly expenses are stored to be used for future requirements. Hence these can be utilised while going on a holiday. Finance is essential to enjoy travel and without proper plan this may turn into a financial nightmare. Start saving and plan accordingly to make it  your best summer trip ever.

How to Afford Clubbing Holidays in Cyprus

Are holidays to Ayia Napa 2013 calling your name already? Just like poor little Cheryl, you might be feeling a little confused, but don’t be, clubbing holidays in Cyprus could be more affordable than you think.

No, it’s not a cheap getaway to Magaluf and it can be more pricey than a stint in Tenerife, but for a few extra quid, you’re about to embark on the clubbing session of your life.

It doesn’t take some Del Boy wheeling and dealing, just a few simple steps and the garage and grime scene of Ayia Napa can be yours.

First of all, no matter what Dave says – we know you’ve got a mate called Dave – last minute is not the best time to book.

What to expect aboard the P&O Arcadia

There are seven ships among the P&O fleet and the Arcadia is one of the most elegant and stylish of the lot. There is a real air of sophistication on-board helped by the thousands of artworks that you'll find as you wander around what is a mid-size and quite majestic vessel.

As an adults-only ship, the P&O Arcadia can offer its guests the chance to unwind and relax in a refined environment that sails to some of the world's most exotic locations. The ship in fact makes its way from Southampton on the south coast of England to places as far afield as San Francisco, South America and Australia. And of course there are some truly incredible sights to see and hotspots to visit on along the way.

A key element of what most of us are looking for from a quality cruise holiday involves some tasty food and drink. Well the Arcadia has an imaginative array of dinning areas and restaurants on-board so passengers can take their pick from Italian, Asian and traditionally British foods. And a particular favourite for many is the Ocean Grill, a Marco Pierre White restaurant.

Manila Halloween 2011 Events, Philippines

Though we're hosting a Halloween Party at home with our friends this Saturday, I keep searching the net for other activities Peter and I can do. After all, it's a long weekend holiday here in the Philippines and we gave up a trip to Camsur CWC to celebrate Halloween in Manila to the fullest, the Sexynomad and Mordo way. (^_^)
